QUALITY ATTRACTS QUALITY

Quality Planning (APQP)

Listening to the voice of the customer is what Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is all about. A clear understanding of what customers want, need and expect from a product, and planning accordingly, ensures that the customer’s product expectations are met in every way.

Even if you already have a quality management system in place, APQP is worth the effort, especially if you are producing new or improved products. Production processes often have inherent risks, such as process failures, among others. Following the APQP process can help minimize these risks. Risk management, in turn, leads to better quality control and business success.

APQP supports the never-ending pursuit of continuous improvement. The first three sections (see graphic) of APQP focus on planning and prevention and account for 80% of the APQP process. The fourth and fifth sections support the remaining 20% of APQP and focus on validation and evidence. The fifth section in particular allows an organization to communicate findings and provide feedback to develop standard work and processes.

INGENIO Qualitas is the right partner when it comes to implementing quality planning to effectively lead the necessary tools to success during product realization.
